My Column: Searching for the Impossible!

Born from intense desire or longing, an elusive experience indeed, search is Very satisfying and rewarding if completed. Otherwise Often like a dog chasing its’ own tale endlessly. Still everybody is searching something. Something they don’t have, something they want madly, even sometime a replacement for something they are not satisfied with.
Something exotic and exciting or something which is crucial for survival. A development or adjustment tool in this everchanging world. All the scientific searches; medicine and equipment for our comfort and development, help for our planet and cosmos, can be put in this category. I wonder where we would have been if no electricity was discovered, no telecommunication was discovered, no electronic chip was discovered. It is impossible to think about present lifestyle without these facilities. It became possible because some brains thought ahead of their time. There restless and curious mind was always in search. Here I would like to Quote famous Italian philosopher, astronomer and scientist:’ All truths are easy to understand once they are discovered; the point is to discover them.’
Galileo Galilei also wrote’ Nothing can be taught to a man, only it’s possibly to help him to discover it inside.’ because You cannot teach a man anything, you can only help him find it within himself. ‘ And he explains his idea further, why he is saying so.’In questions of science, the authority of a thousand is not worth the humble reasoning of a single individual.’ Further he writes, ‘I do not feel obliged to believe that the same God who has endowed us with sense, reason, and intellect has intended us to forgo their use.’Yet he was punished when he said earth is not flat. Because a scientist or visionary always think ahead of time and they are not always easily unserstood by lay man.

Sometimes these searches are quite futile also because we keep on searching what we once had or what we don’t have or cannot have or afford, but grass is always greener on the other side.
To be, or not to be, that is the question:
Whether ’tis nobler in the mind to suffer
The slings and arrows of outrageous fortune,
Or to take arms against a sea of troubles
And by opposing end them. To die—to sleep,
No more; and by a sleep to say we end
The heart-ache and the thousand natural shocks
That flesh is heir to: ’tis a consummation
Devoutly to be wish’d. To die, to sleep;
To sleep, perchance to dream—ay, there’s the rub:
For in that sleep of death what dreams may come,
When we have shuffled off this mortal coil,
Must give us pause—there’s the respect
That makes calamity of so long life.
Famous opening Extract From his famous play Hamlet and spoken by Hamlet himself. It was long ago, when Shakespeare wrote these most quoted lines and they are still as green and poignant as they were when written. Because human heart’s hope and aspirations, despair and yet un defying soul and its’ endless search to perfection too is endless!
